SCHRC is a local mental health clinic that provides a comprehensive range of mental health care services for adults and children.  We became a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) in 2021 and we employ over 140 staff in 15 programs in Waseca, Steele, and Dodge Counties. 
 
Position:  Patient Coordinator - Front Desk - Owatonna

Primary Responsibilities
 Provide Front Desk/Reception support in busy community mental health center. 
 
Duties include: 
  • Welcoming clients and visitors in person or on the telephone and answering or referring inquiries. 
  • Serves clients by greeting and helping them, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records and accounts. 
  • Optimizes client satisfaction by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone in a timely and efficient manner.  
  • Keeps client appointments on schedule by notifying provider of client’s arrival, reviewing service delivery compared to schedule, and    reminding providers of service delays. 
  • Maintains client record by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information. 
  • Collect, process and record client payments. 
  • Helps clients in distress by responding to emergencies. 
  • Processes incoming mail. 
  • Maintains operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes.  
Education 
 
Two-year technical college diploma or equivalent education and experience preferred. 
Five or more years of administrative work experience. 
Knowledge of and experience in a mental health environment a plus.
